My Last Breath, 2025

Blown glass forms on broken concrete slabs (160 x 65 cm)

'My Last Breath' explores themes of fragility, memory, and transformation. Delicate glass forms, evoking lungs in suspended breaths, placed atop broken concrete fragments. This striking contrast between organic, transparent forms and heavy, industrial rubble reflects a tension between the human body and the environment. The swirling blues within the glass suggest a frozen moment of exhalation, a final breath captured in time. The concrete, fractured and sharp, evokes collapse both societal and emotional. Together, the materials offer a poetic reflection on what remains when something essential is lost. This work invites viewers to consider breath as both a physical and symbolic act. In its stillness, 'My Last Breath' holds space for both mourning and resilience, balancing delicacy and destruction in a quiet, powerful meditation on impermanence.
